It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t matter where you are. It doesn’t matter who you are or who you were. You can learn.

What matters most:

You start. You make learning a part of your life. You get back to learning when life interferes. You’re a positive ambassador for others to learn. You don’t stop.

Tired, but Happy.

Playing in the yard. Time for dinner. Tired, but happy.

Up until 2am with friends. Early practice the next day. Tired, but happy.

First job. Working long hours. Tasty takeout on a Friday night. Tired, but happy.

One kid, then two. Tired, but happy.

Another year older. Tired, but happy.

Early alarm set. Time to wake up. Tired, but happy.

Growing aspirations, and already so many great memories. Tired, but happy.

Right now, I am tired but happy. It’s something I’ve gotten used to over the years. I really like it. There is a sense of accomplishment. I want to see if I can repeat the process. Endure longer. Work more, then relax more. Tired, but happy is where I want to be. It isn’t just about an outcome. It’s kind of about just admitting it. It’s okay to admit you are tired. Just don’t let it get in the way of what you enjoy most. Odds are that the things you enjoy most also make you tired. They use energy; it means they are worth it.
