The Weekly Optimist Newsletter: New Year
Quotes from Me:
“The right decisions can give you energy.”
“Exercising, safely and with good form, should be mandatory for those capable.”
“Start by starting.”
Quotes from Others:
“It’s too cold for winter.” – My son, who currently prefers indoor activities on cold days.
“Do not look at life with fear; see it with wonder.” – Swami Vivekananda
“When you understand that every opinion is a vision loaded with personal history, you will begin to understand that all judgement is a confession.” – Nikola Tesla
Quick Optimism:
End 2024 by letting go and grabbing hold. Let go of something current. Grab hold of something futuristic.
Question:
What did you love about 2024? What did you not love? What are you looking forward to in 2025?
Any plans? This week my wife and I are going to sit down and list out our priorities for 2025. The categories will likely change shape and shift throughout the conversation or two, but I am excited to tackle things like personal goals, relationship goals, family goals, and everything that falls under that umbrella.
I am praying for continued good health for my family and friends, and I’ll be taking a long look at learning opportunities, adventures, finances, and more.
Time to map out birthdays, travel, and holidays, and then squeeze other things in between!
Happy early New Year!
p.s. I’m not a big New Year’s resolution guy – I typically commit fully to things I enjoy, even if they also require hard, consistent work. My best advice is to choose something you want to commit to for a decade. From my experience, that’s where the passion, love, and true progress can be found!
