A Crooked Mug
A crooked mug hung on the wall, hanging left, could it fall?
Why left on the hook and not to the right? A mug like the others, it fit in, but not quite.
Hanging free but awkwardly, his teacher wondered why it would be.
Is this necessary? I’m calling his parents, I need a reason, I hope they share it.
Well Miss, here it is, the crooked mug, here it sits.
Can you tell me why your son is different? Is it a joke? Give me a hint.
His mom told his teacher that when asking her son, he had a good reason, but he only had one.
“Other students stand and stare, their mug not lost but not here nor there.
When I walk up to start my day, I grab my mug and am on my way.”
