Quick Optimism:

Every experience makes you wiser. Go rack up some experiences.

Question:

Happy Halloween week! What is your costume this year?

My son just finished Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous on Netflix so he, my wife, and I are dressing up as Jurassic Park rangers and our daughter is our little dinosaur. We are very excited for “Trunk or Treat” at school this week. Tons of car trunks. Tons of candy.

Oddly enough, those I talk to about Halloween are very torn on the holiday. Some cannot wait to wear all 5 costumes they have for the year, others don’t like it at all. Which side are you on?

Official question of the week: When were you last given an opportunity?

What was it? Can you think of anything in the past, especially recently, that you did not realize was an opportunity?

Start small: each morning is an opportunity to…

Exercise, sleep in, get up early, hit snooze on the alarm – all good options.

Go bigger: in one year I will…

Travel to 5 new countries, fix up my home, spend more time with family abroad – all good options.

Go biggest: in 20 years…

You do the rest, but I’ll leave you with this quote:

“Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity.” – Oprah Winfrey
