The Weekly Optimist Newsletter: Intelligence, Success

Quotes from Me:

“If the why is clear, the how is simple.”

“Are you in the best place to maximize your development?”

“You see what you have been told to see.”

Quotes from Others:

Only one this week:

Success

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Quick Optimism:

Go find success.

Have you found success? Where? How much? (I guess these could go in the question category; more questions are never a bad thing!)

Question:

Per the beautiful quote from Mr. Ralph Waldo Emerson, what earns respect from intelligent people? The first things that come to mind are: passion, confidence, and preparation. The rest typically follows.

When I say, “the rest,” what do you think about?

The first things that come to mind are: new connections, valuable and fulfilling exchanges with others, and feeling excited about dedicating time, effort, and patience to tasks, people, and goals.

One last question to end this newsletter and start your week: what makes you feel intelligent?

In some scenarios, I’d rather be informed generally about dozens of topics as opposed to specializing in a couple of them.

Make it an intelligent week. Go find success. Find your why and start executing the how.
